Yes you will. We look every week or so at the charts of patients that have been kind enough to tell us that they have had a child. We have one patient that has had four children after we did her reversal and several that have had three. I guess that is one disadvantage of tubal reversal surgery you will need contraception if you don’t wish to get pregnant. We recommend IUD’s as a semi-permanent contraceptive choice rather than getting your tubes tied for a second time. You need to make your choice with your doctor. The newer IUD’s are generally well tolerated and they can be removed if you don’t like them or want more children.
